Young Artist Performance Companies

A UNIQUE CLASS FOR EXPERIENCED STUDENTS. Our Young Artist Performance Companies bring together young artists with prior experience and a passion for theatre to create characters through acting exercises and rehearsal, as well as exploring elements of design. Students work as an ensemble to bring an established text to life. Limited enrollment. This class concludes with a performance for family and friends at our Education Center.

Description

Make a film! This class will film and edit Brief Interviews with Internet Cats by Patrick Greene into a fun short piece to share with family and friends. In this fast-paced series of hilarious scenes, celebrity interviewer Ian uncovers the story behind Tuffy's first dramatic foray into a cardboard box, learns just what makes Nelson the Grouchy Cat so very, very grouchy, and contends with the diva-like antics of Kitty Boo Boo and her entourage. This is a perfect project for students experienced in theatre to explore the process of filming and editing.
